We are pleased to announce Salford Supply Desk meets or exceeds the standards expected within the GCA Framework – and always has done.
This means your academy/trust can continue working with Salford Supply Desk, in line with DfE guidance guidance below:
“Multi-academy trusts must use the GCA framework, unless you secure an alternative framework or contract which:
is in line with the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) ✓
is subject to the financial thresholds ✓
does not exceed the rates available through the GCA framework ✓”

Salford Supply Desk made the decision not to join The GCA Framework for the following reasons:
We already meet or exceed the standards in the GCA Framework and always have.
Our supplier fees have always been considerably lower than the new government supplier cap because we genuinely care about schools and the impact they make on children’s lives.
We’ve never built our business around high margins or maximising profit.
Instead of investing significant resources into a framework tender for standards we already uphold, we chose to
continue investing where it makes the greatest difference – in the quality of staff we recruit, the service we provide,
maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and compliance, and continuing the relationships we’ve built with
schools over the past 25 years.
We believe that’s where our schools would want us to invest.
We have a comprehensive brochure available on request for academies and trusts, which demonstrates how Salford Supply Desk meets or exceeds the standards expected in the GCA Framework, in order for academies and trusts to continue their working relationship with Salford Supply Desk.
